About Us
How it began...
No. 1 George Street was founded in 2016 by Sara, whose lifelong passion for fashion and ambition to create her own brand inspired her to open an independent boutique built on expertise and individuality. Before launching the business, Sara worked as a fashion buyer in London for well-known brands including French Connection, Topshop and Mulberry, where she developed a strong eye for quality, detail and emerging trends.
Bringing this buying expertise to her own boutique, she carefully curated a distinctive collection of handpicked clothing from France, Italy and Spain, complemented by exclusive jewellery, accessories, gifts and homeware sourced directly from manufacturers. Each piece is selected for its style, quality and value, offering customers something truly unique beyond the high street.
Originally opened in Kingsclere and now based in Overton, Hampshire, No. 1 George Street has built a loyal customer base who appreciate its thoughtfully chosen collections and personal, knowledgeable service. The brand has continued to grow with a pop-up shop at Newlyn’s Farm Shop, extending its boutique experience to even more customers.
